The old way was a little more like when you swap gameboards and the new game requires some monitor adjustment. Now all games use full width (unless they're rotated games). With some resolutions the integer scalling had quite large black borders on the sides unless you adjusted your monitor for the game. All I meant was I changed the horizontal scalling from integer to (hardware based) fractional full width. Sorry for being a noob, but does this mean there are emulated scanlines added to the image? Since I'm using a CRT monitor that already has scanlines, do I need to disable something on the front-end/emulators to avoid getting "double scan lines"? The 0172_HiScore backport still uses the same code, But has the formatting correction for newer compilers.Īnd the 0172_Suppression has all the improvements listed above. I have made a backport for the corrections & improvements to 172 if you want to use them. However, The suppression patches have improved since 172.īasically this is what happened (Suppression path)ġ73 = New style patch (Uses skipgameinfo) So you probably still want the Hi Score support by MKChamp (Move to Lua hiscore when you transition to Mame 0.177 or higher). Built in HiScore support via LUA is pretty shabby at version 0172 (Much improved with Mame 0177).
